We are delighted that the necessary works have been completed on our church building. We have a completely new roof and other repairs to brickwork and downpipes have all been achieved. We are truly thankful for incredibly generous gifts, large and small, and for some loans. Payments are still being made and more work will need to be done in the years to come, but for now the doors are open and lots of things are happening again.
The Church is not the building – it is the people! The church is a cross generational group of people, from differing backgrounds, working together to bring a little of God’s kingdom here in this village. We are seeking to be a place where all are valued, respected and welcomed into our family. A place where it is ok to share laughter and tears, excitement and pain. The building is simply a means to this end. It has served the community well for hundreds of years and by God’s grace it will continue to do so for many years to come.
