The Diocese of Chelmsford is committed to developing the vital ministry of evangelism, which essentially is working with God in His mission to this world. Therefore, the diocese offers training throughout the diocese for Certificate of Evangelism. The Certificate of Evangelism is open to all, with no prior training required, a course of 12 sessions working in small groups which will help you develop your personal evangelism skills and support others in sharing their faith. On completion you are awarded the Certificate of Evangelism.
The Certificate of Evangelism subjects include: What is evangelism? – Biblical basis and how Jesus did it – The Gospel & conversion – Evangelism in today’s society – How to share our faith story – The ethics of evangelism – Evangelism and prayer – Enquirer’s and nurture courses – Teamwork – How to encourage others – Organising evangelistic events.
