It has been a brilliant week of Easter celebrations at ECBC. From the moving and thoughtful reflection on Good Friday to the exuberant celebrations on Easter Sunday, it has been a powerful week. A big thank you to everyone who was involved in the services. On Good Friday Fay, Judi, Frank and Seven led a poignant service remembering the passion week. We then took to the streets with St Andrews, offering chocolates and an opportunity for people to pray at the cross.
Easter Sunday began with breakfast and communion at the church. A big thanks to Charity for sorting out the food and for Brian for leading us in worship. Someone commented, “that communion was the closest I have felt God’s presence in a long time”.
The Easter extravaganza featured an easter egg hunt, a beautiful butterfly cross, a play and a poem mixed in with some rousing worship and the life changing truth: He is risen!
The week that changed the world 2000 years ago, is clearly still changing our world today.
